Our company is committed to avoiding and addressing negative impacts on the fundamental principles of social, environmental, and economic development that we cause, contribute to, or are linked to through our business relationships.
Therefore, we have asked all our suppliers to operate in accordance with the requirements of a Code of Conduct, which requires our suppliers to work towards alignment with internationally recognized principles for sustainable development; the international minimum standard for responsible business conduct. We acknowledge that establishing the necessary processes outlined in this Code of Conduct requires both time and resources, particularly in the initial stages. We implement and maintain similar processes in our own operations.
The Code of Conduct should therefore be understood as the foundation for our collaboration and dialogue on improving systems for addressing negative impacts on human rights, including labor rights, the environment, and anti-corruption. We focus on our suppliers' ability and willingness to demonstrate continuous improvements in meeting the requirements of the Code of Conduct. We are confident that collaboration and dialogue can result in a more effective partnership from which both parties will benefit.
